What to see in Bordeaux

At the end of August 2018, eight and a half years after the last time, I returned to Bordeaux, a city holding a special meaning for me, because I lived there a year and a half during my university studies. I imagine that most of you know Bordeaux mainly because of the homonymous wine (which needs no introduction), but instead only a few know that the urban and architectural complex of the city center is part of the UNESCO world heritage and includes about 350 buildings classified as historical monuments (second French city in this special ranking behind Paris).

To present you the best of the many places of interest in Bordeaux, I decided to divide the city into 4 areas, each of which is easily traveled on foot or by tram if you want to save time:
