How to get around in Bali: scooter, private taxi, blue taxi, Grab, Go-Jeck

Because of the intense road traffic, especially along the southern tourist routes (Bukit-Kuta peninsula) and central (Kuta-Ubud), the best way to get around the island is by scooter.

Renting one is very simple: every tourist facility, whatever its size or cost of the room, has in fact a scooter for its customers. The cost for the daily rent is INR 50 000 (about 3 euros), including helmet, to be paid in cash. Usually no document or security deposit is required. Mixing up is equally easy because along the way there are small retailers everywhere, who store the precious blue liquid in 0.75 l glass bottles, which cost INR 10 000 each.
